Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

Hi everyone! This post is definitely very behind as lots of lucky people managed to get their hands on this palette quite a while back, I'd seen Jaclyn Hill reveal this product and obviously American customers got the chance to get it first, however I missed the UK release for Space NK as it sold out very quickly. On top of that I was relying on Cult Beauty to release the palette as I'd seen on Twitter them mentioning they were getting the Champagne Collection range so I just assumed that included the palette but unfortunately it didn't! So everywhere was sold out and it had been a while and I assumed it wouldn't be getting released again, however thanks to the lovely Siobhan from Beautylymin who contacted me to let me know Space NK had actually released it again I was able to get my hands on it! I know it's not available now however I still wanted to do a post on this in case anyone was looking to buy Champagne Pop or try any of Becca's blushes as they are the same formula as the one in the palette.

In the palette you get two highlighters, Champagne Pop which is a permanent Becca highlighter created by Jaclyn Hill a while back, and Prosecco Pop which is exclusive to the Champagne Glow collection, it was originally only featured in this palette however some split pans were released which had Prosecco Pop and a Becca blush. You also get three blushes which were also created for this palette, you get Rose Spritz which is a luminous blush and then you get two mineral blushes which are Amaretto and Pamplemousse.

I'm so obsessed with the packaging of this palette, it feels really luxurious (it should for the price) plus I'd seen lots of people raving about the mirror which I just couldn't understand because to me a mirror is a mirror however when I got it I completely understood what everyone was talking about. It's such a high quality clear mirror which I've never really had in another palette before, plus it's massive so it makes it such a good palette for travelling with. I also feel like you get a really good amount of product, I've had an issue with Becca palettes before where I've finally got it in person and the pans are SO tiny that I can barely fit my make up brush in them to pick up product and thankfully that's not the case here.

These products actually swatch so nice, I kind of expect that from Becca I feel like they always have really high quality products. One thing I did notice though especially with the highlighters, the product whilst it's in the pan feels very powdery and you get a lot of fall out, it blends so nice when you apply it to your skin or when you swatch it, but when you are using a makeup brush to pick up products I can just feel how powdery it is, almost chalky in a way. It doesn't look or feel this way on the skin at all though which is so strange. I'm actually on a mission to find a new highlighting brush, I've used a fan brush for so long but for some reason I just started to hate it but I feel like there aren't a lot of readily available highlighter brushes in shops like Boots so if anyone has any good recommendations for me, ideally affordable as I hate spending money on brushes please let me know! Champagne Pop is definitely my favourite out of the two highlighters, Prosecco Pop is gorgeous as well but I'm very pale at the minute and I feel like this looks a bit better with a tan. Out of the blushes by far my favourite is Rose Spritz it's honestly so gorgeous! I love Amaretto as well but again I feel like this will look better when I'm tanned, I'm a bit iffy on Pamplemousse though, as I've had a problem with Becca blushes before where they are just too pigmented and too bright and leave you looking like a clown and I feel like this shade is just far too full on for me. 

It's definitely not an affordable palette at £48 but I'm so glad I bought it, it's so pretty and such good quality so I do think it's worth the money! To be honest I wish that Becca would just make it a permanent product because I'll be really sad when I eventually use this up but I'm sure that won't be for a long time yet. I would definitely repurchase Champagne Pop as a single product when I'm finished with it in the palette as I can guarantee that will run out first as I'm using it everyday at the minute! I'm just so glad I was able to get my hands on it in the end, I've seen people selling them on Depop for £90 which is absolutely ridiculous, it annoys me so much when sellers do that! Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's been two weeks since my last post, I feel so guilty neglecting my blog so much, it's just been so hectic with all the assignments I've got. I will try and fit a post in here and there but until the 24th of May which is my last exam I might not be frequently posting on here. Actually can't wait till that day comes and I get my life back! I've got some quite exciting things coming up which I'm wanting to blog about so expect some more lifestyle posts when I've finished uni which I'm really excited for because they are by far my favourite to write. Anyway I'm so happy I can finally write a post on this product, I've wanted it for so long ever since I saw photos of it floating around on Instagram before it was officially announced and that is the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. I am so obsessed with Too Faced palettes, the Chocolate Bar palette is my favourite that I own and when I saw this I actually needed it. It was such a nightmare to get hold of though, with it being limited edition there was so much hype over the release date for everyone who wanted it in case it sold out and Debenhams kept changing the online released, then some stores released it earlier than they were supposed to. When they finally said an official online release date it didn't come online at midnight that day and I was refreshing the page constantly until it finally went up around 1pm and I was able to get it. Such a faff on but it's definitely worth it!

The packaging is just standard Too Faced, so pretty and girly, I absolutely love it I think I prefer the appearance of this to the Chocolate Bar palettes. It is a scented palette and it's got a really nice sweet scent like peaches, I don't think it's as strong as the Chocolate Bar palettes but it's still really nice.

I'm actually so obsessed with how pretty it is, honestly my ideal shades they're so gorgeous! You get 18 shades, all the same size and they're a mixture of mattes, shimmers and glitters.

I actually am so obsessed with some of the shades in this palette, I definitely have my favourites and there is others I wouldn't use. I know a few people thought it was a bit daft that there isn't actually that many peach shades in the palette and I do agree, but I really love the majority of the shades anyway. The quality definitely didn't disappoint, they're so pigmented and creamy, some are definitely better than others though. My favourite by far is Bellini I think it's so gorgeous, I also love Caramelized, Nectar, Luscious and Cobbler, they are definitely my favourites. I probably won't end up using the darker shades, especially Talk Derby To Me and Tempting, but I think I would try out the purples as they aren't too full on. I'm so happy with how nice the matte shades are as well, normally I find mattes too dry and chalky but the ones in this palette are so good. 

The palette was definitely worth the chew on to get it, but there is one thing which really annoyed me and that is the fact that it's limited edition. I just can't get my head round the fact that it is the SS16 collection, like so many of their other palettes have been, yet this one can't be made permanent. To me it's just a different variation on the Chocolate Bar palettes and they are permanent so why isn't this one? It's not so much the fact that I won't be able to buy it again because it takes me so long to work through palettes, I just think the fact that there is so much demand for it and not everyone can get one. It mostly bugs me though because I was seeing palettes on Ebay and Depop for double the price, this retailed for £39 yet when they got released in stores before the online date they were on these sites for £70+ and people literally had gone and bought multiple palettes just to sell on for double the price. Really annoys me that people try and take advantage of those who weren't able to get one in stores, I think this is the main problem of limited edition items that are so popular, and I really hope people don't buy from these dodgy sellers who just want to make money off you and Too Faced decide to release it again! Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

I don't know if it's just me that feels like this but I really cannot have too many eye shadows, having a choice is so much more fun, to be honest I've actually turned into a palette addict. I've got so many palettes and I love buying more, the problem is that I never actually get round to using them, so I was having a look through and I found the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette which was actually a Christmas present and it is so pretty that I made sure to start using it more, so I thought I'd do a little post on my thoughts on this palette and show you some swatches! 

I'd only ever tried Zoeva brushes before this, I love the quality of them and when I saw everyone raving about their eye shadow palettes I asked for one for Christmas, the Cocoa Blend palette was definitely the one that appealed to me the most, I'm so obsessed with warm toned browns and shimmery shades so I needed it! I do also really like the look of the Rose Golden palette so I'd quite like to try this next. You get 10 eye shadows in this palette which are a mixture of mattes, mattes and shimmers and they are a really good size I think, there is 1.5g in each pan plus the pans are quite big, I hate in some palettes where the pans are really small and close together so you get product everywhere! At £15.50 though even before I had tried it I thought it was really good value for money so I'd definitely suggesting having a look at Zoeva's palettes because they've definitely got something for everyone. The packaging is really good as well, it's not the most luxurious however it's nice and slim so perfect for travelling, only downside is that it doesn't have a mirror but this doesn't really bother me as I always use a big mirror anyway. 

I was actually so surprised at the quality of the eye shadows as well, considering the price and because Zoeva is more known for their brushes however some of these shades in my opinion are better than high end brands! I'm not going to say this is consistent throughout the whole palette, as there are two shades which I'm really not keen on but I will talk about them later, however aside from them the quality is so good, very pigmented and easy to blend! The shades you get are:

- Bitter Start. Palest matte nude.

- Sweeter End. Shimmer duo chrome nougat.

- Warm Notes. Glittering cranberry purple.

- Subtle Blend. Metallic deep bronze.

- Beans Are White. Deep cocoa brown matte.

- Pure Ganache. Pure and luxurious metallic gold.

- Substitute For Love. Toffee brown with subtle shimmer.

- Freshly Toasted. Rich mahogany brown.

- Infusion. Matte dark brown infused with gold glitter.

- Delicate Acidity. Berry toned brown shimmer.

Without a doubt my absolute favourites from this palette are Warm Notes and Pure Ganache, they are by far the best quality, they are so pigmented and just the most gorgeous shades! The two shades that I don't like are Beans Are White and Infusion, they were just far too chalky for me and they took so much work even to show up on a swatch, for me the pigmentation just isn't there plus I tend to stay away from dark shades like this anyway. Delicate Acidity is absolutely gorgeous as well, this is normally something that would scare me off as it is bold however I can't wait to play around with this more and see what I can come up with. I really like Sweeter End as well, it isn't the most bold and takes a little bit of work however it is so pretty, I really want to use Warm Notes on Valentines Day, I think is it is so perfect for a really girly look! I love them all apart from the two mentioned so to me this palette is definitely a must have, it's a really good price and the quality doesn't disappoint. This was bought for me from Beauty Bay where there is also a few more of their palettes on their so they are definitely worth a look, I will 100% be trying more of Zoeva's palettes I can't get over how nice they are. Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon Palette

Hi everyone! I hope you've had a lovely Christmas! I've been a bit MIA recently because I was at work everyday in the run up to Christmas so between that and getting presents sorted and wrapped I have had absolutely no time to blog. Thankfully though I'm back to my normal shifts at work and I feel like I have a lot of lovely new products I got for Christmas to post about, I wanted to start with the one I am most excited about though, Too Faced recently launched their new Chocolate Bon Bon palette in America and on their Twitter I saw a post saying it wouldn't be available in the UK until February so I had actually asked for it for my birthday which is in February, however Debenhams had it on their website in December and my lovely boyfriend said I could have it for Christmas instead which was so exciting! So I got it on Christmas day and fell in love!

It is the third Chocolate Bar palette Too Faced have released, I have the original one and when I saw this one I knew I had to have it, you get 16 matte and shimmer shades and what I love about this one is that it is so different to the other Chocolate Bar palettes, I feel like you can do a lot more with this and have a wider range of looks. You get brights and neutrals so you can use it for any occasion, plus like the other palettes it also smells like chocolate which I love! 

The packaging is so pretty and girly as expected from Too Faced I feel like all their products look amazing! The box the palette comes in looks like a chocolate bar and then the actually palette is in a pink tin with embossed hearts, I love it so much! I think it's so sweet that the pans the eyeshadow comes in are heart shaped as well, so different and it fits in so well with the whole palette's feel.

There are 14 new shades in this palette and 2 existing ones, I think I definitely prefer the shimmer shades to the mattes, it's not that the mattes aren't good it's just that some of the shimmer shades are so pretty!

- Almond Truffle. Matte mauve toned taupe

- Satin Sheets. Pale pink with strong gold iridescence 

- Sprinkles. Pink with gold iridescence 

- Molasses Chip. Metallic bronze

- Malted. Satin matte deep brown with sparse shimmer

- Cashew Chew. Satin pink toned beige

- Cotton Candy. Cool bright medium pink shimmer

-  Cafe au Lait. Taupe grey shimmer

- Bordeaux. Red toned deep matte brown

- Mocha. Warm matte brown

- Black Currant. Deep purple shimmer

- Dark Truffle. Dark cool brown shimmer

- Pecan Praline. Matte pale grey taupe

- Totally Fetch. Hot pink shimmer

- Earl Grey. Deep teal toned grey shimmer

- Divinity. Matte ivory

I was so excited to get this palette however I was a bit worried that I wouldn't like it as much as the original Chocolate Bar palette, thankfully though I love it just as much! I don't think their is necessarily one I prefer because they are both very different. I had more reservations about this one as there is a few cool tones which I tend to stay away from but I actually don't mind them. They definitely won't be the shades I reach for first, particularly Pecan Praline and Cafe au Lait but I will use them when I'm wanting to try something new. I do have my favourites and they are Satin Sheets, Sprinkles and Molasses Chip, they are so pretty and so pigmented! On Christmas day I used Molasses Chip on the centre of the eyelid with Bordeux on the outer and inner section of the lid with Mocha in the crease and I really loved that, quite different to something I would usually do but I'm so pleased with how it looked. The only way that I can say I prefer this palette over the original is definitely the packaging, I'm just obsessed with it!

The quality is definitely up there with Too Faced standards, so pigmented and long wearing and very easy to work with as well, I'm definitely an amateur when it comes to eyeshadow, I definitely don't have the knack for it and it takes me a lot longer to come up with something that I'm happy with but I found this very easy to use, also you get the little glamour guide with this palette which tells you how to create three looks and it comes with a little how to section which is really helpful when you don't really know where to start. This palette really isn't cheap, it retails for £39 from Debenhams which is expensive however if you are on the fence about it I can definitely say that the quality is amazing and you can do so much with this palette so you will be getting your moneys worth! I'm just in love, definitely my favourite make up product I got for Christmas and I will be reaching for this a lot! I was just wondering also what people's thoughts are on What I Got For Christmas posts, I've been wondering to do one or not because I'd never want it to seem like bragging however I personally love reading these types of posts and seeing all the lovely gifts everyone got, let me know in the comments what you think about them!

Too Faced Love Palette

Hi everyone! Can't believe this is my 50th blog post, it's insane how fast time goes! I know my previous post was on an eye shadow palette but I actually had another delivery the same day I got my Morphe 35O palette which you can read about here and it is the Too Faced Love Palette. I had wanted this for a while, I believe it came out in the summer but it wasn't available to buy in the UK until very recently when I was scrolling Debenhams and they had it in stock! Too Faced's Chocolate Bar palette is my all time favourite, I think the quality is so amazing and rather than getting the Semi-Sweet palette which I thought was pointless because they're so similar I got this one to try for something a bit different. Also something I was surprised at considering the Chocolate Bar palettes are so expensive at £39 is that this was only £27, much cheaper and you get around the same amount of product so that was a bonus! I didn't have my hopes too high actually, I knew I'd like it but when it arrived I was so surprised at how gorgeous it is! Pictures really don't do this justice which I think any of you who have it will agree with.

It is just so insanely pretty! You get 15 shades which are a mixture of shimmer, pearl and matte finishes. On the packaging it says it is inspired by the 'lost art of love letters' and that it creates 'the most romantic looks of all time'. I would definitely agree with this, I think the shades are so feminine and pretty and just amazing! The website also states that these shadows were created with a slurry powder technology giving them a smooth creamy texture, this is 100% correct they are up there with the creamiest eye shadows I have ever used they are so nice and blendable, I could literally go on for ages about how nice this palette actually is!

The packaging is so pretty as well, my only problem is that it is a bit bulky, I feel like it could be slimmer although it isn't massive! Also it is a bit awkward to open at first, this makes me sound so stupid but I was really confused, I got there in the end though! It comes in a really pretty box as well that looks like a cute letter.

You basically get a set of three eye shadows all with their own name, although you can mix it up if you want to I think it is just to match the three looks you are given with the palette although I will go into them later! The first one on the left is called Pure Love.

From left to right the shades are Dearest, Cherish, Desire, Amorous & Adore. 

I should have swatched them heavier because this picture doesn't do them justice at all but this set from the palette is probably my favourite, especially Adore! it shows up quite coppery in this picture but it is more of a cranberry shade in really life and I just love it!

From True Love the shades left to right are Passion, Smitten, Romance, Obsessed & Sweetie Pie

Again this picture doesn't show how amazing they are, especially Passion and Sweetie Pie, they are the prettiest, girliest shades ever!

From Forbidden Love the shades left to right are Darling, Devotion, Puppy Love, Everlasting & XOXO

I am in love with these ones, normally I would never even contemplate a green eye shadow but Darling is so pretty and wearable, I think you will be able to come up with so many gorgeous looks from this palette, I'm just obsessed!

You also get an eyeliner pencil, with the eyeliner on once side and what I am assuming is a smudger on the other side? Not too sure, I'm guessing that's what it is but there isn't much information on that. Another thing that I love about this palette is that behind the mirror you get three different looks you can create with a day and night look from each eye shadow set.

I am obsessed with this palette, I think it is such good value for everything that comes with it, and as always with Too Faced the quality is amazing! I think this would be the perfect Christmas present and for me it would be so good for all the events that happen at Christmas like your Christmas parties etc, it's just so nice! Debenhams also have the Love Flush blushes in stock now which I think have just become available in the UK, I'm desperate to try those as well but they are expensive so I might have to wait for them! Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette Review

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be writing a post about this product, I was scrolling through Beauty Bay the other day and saw they had the Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler palette in stock and that it was limited edition so I had to order it straight away. I love ABH but for someone living in the UK I feel like it's such a nightmare to get your hands on, I'm still desperately hoping Beauty Bay stocks the ABH liquid lipsticks as ordering from America means possible customs charges and I can't deal with that! Anyway it came within two days and I was in love when I saw it.

I love the Gatsby style packaging and also the size of the palette, obviously it was going to be smaller as it is a travel palette but I like this anyway because I feel like big bulky palettes take up so much space and when you're already running out of room getting more of them isn't ideal! Whilst the feel of the packaging isn't the most luxurious for £23 I think it's such a bargain, I know you aren't getting as much of the eye shadow as you would in other palettes but I still think for an ABH palette it is a really good price and the quality is amazing! 

Again considering the palettes is only £23 you get a brush which I think is a really good brush compared to the standard of some that come with other palettes. I absolutely love the warm toned colours, I try to avoid cool tones at all cost I just really don't think they suit me. The mixture of colours also means you can try out so many different looks and also the mixture of matte, satin and metallic is really good. I thought I'd give a run through of the descriptions to each of the eye shadows as sometimes pictures don't do them justice.

Soft Peach - Nude Pastel peach with an ultra-matte finish

Morocco - Deep burnt orange with an ultra-matte finish

Heirloom - Pinky eggplant with a sparkle finish

Bellini - Golden peach with a satin finish

Pink Champagne - shimmery pink with a titanium finish

Chic - Taupe grey with a shimmer finish

Spoiled - Gold-flecked peach with a metallic finish

Fudge - Rich chocolate brown with an ultra-matte finish

Azure - Vibrant blue with a metallic finish

Intense Gaze - Bronzed pink with a satin finish

Metallic - Brassy gold with a metallic finish

Noir - Deep carbon black with an ultra-matte finish

My favourite shades are definitely Bellini, Spoiled and Intense Gaze they are so pretty I'm obsessed with them! The quality of this palette is amazing, the eye shadows are really creamy and I think the pigmentation is great. There are some colours that I may or may not use as they aren't really me, for example Noir, I'm just not one for black eyeshadow. Whilst the blues come across scary at first for someone who flocks to a neutral eye all the time I think they are so pretty and when you're feeling adventurous they would look so nice. Again at £23 I think this is such a good price and I would 100% recommend this as the quality is great and the colours are so pretty! Let me know in the comments what you think of this palette!
