August Favourites

Hi everyone! I can't even begin to describe how excited I am that September is finally here, normally I'd be so upset that Summer is almost over but this is the first time in years I haven't been in education so when I used to hate September and October because I had to go back to school/college/uni I can finally enjoy these months, plus Autumn is one of my favourite seasons so it's not been ruined by endless amounts of uni work! Also I go on holiday in two months which was definitely an incentive to be excited for the end of Summer as it means that it's getting closer and closer. I've tried quite a lot of new products in August so that has definitely reflected on my favourites, but I love that because I hate using the same things for months on end.

- NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in Espresso (£5.50). I've been using Maybelline Brow Drama on my brows for ages now because I didn't want to repurchase Benefit Gimme Brow because it's expensive, and it worked well but it kind of just tidied my eye brows up. This NYX brow mascara makes such a difference though it's amazing! It definitely fills in sparce areas which is one of my problems plus it holds them in place as well, I'd really recommend them if you like easy natural eye brows like me and it's really affordable.

- Herbal Essences Hello Hydration shampoo (£3.99 400ml). I only have the smaller bottle of this because I took it to Rome with me, but for an affordable shampoo I really like this, it smells of coconut and it's targeted for people with dry and damaged hair which is definitely me. I'm obsessed with shampoos that smell like coconut it's definitely my favourite scent.

- Beauty Blender (£16). It took me so long to like this product, even though it's so hyped up I really didn't like it at first, I definitely prefer make up brushes but I decided to give it another try and it really grew on me! I can understand why people love it now, I'd still most likely choose a make up brush over a sponge but that's just personal preference, it does work really well and leave a flawless finish without streaks which is my biggest issue with make up brushes.

- Sephora Kiss Me Balm in Pink Bubblegum (€6.90). I've had to add the price in euros as I bought this in Rome and they don't sell it in the UK but this is definitely one of my favourite lip balms I've ever bought. It's so moisturising plus it smells amazing and leaves a really subtle tint on the lips, so it's not full on or anything. If you get the chance to try one of these you definitely should!

- Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 4 (£37). I've talked about how much I love this before but I finally repurchased it this month and I'm so glad I did. It is the best foundation I've ever used by far, I try and use it so sparingly, I will never ever use it for work or a day where I won't see anyone because it's so expensive but I just feel so much better when I'm wearing this! I've got dry skin and if you're oily it might not be for you but I can't recommend it enough for anyone with my skin type. The shades are really good as well if you struggle to find a shade that matches you.

- Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Fair (£20). This was another new purchase, I don't want to talk about it too much as I have a post going up on it this week but I've really been enjoying it recently, I feel like it's really different to any other concealer I've used and it works so well with the Born This Way foundation!

- MAC Lipstick in Koi Coral (£15.50). I've really not been using lipsticks that much until recently, I've either been going for lip oils or lip creams but I used this while I was away and fell in love with it again, this is definitely a perfect summer shade, I like corals but I hate when they are too bright and over the top, so this is the perfect coral for me as it's so pretty and subtle,

- Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream (£24). This is another product I'd forgotten about until recently, even though it's expensive I feel like it's such an essential in my make up bag because my skin instantly looks better and more refreshed after using it. I need to try more Kiehl's products so I might ask for some for Christmas so if you have any recommendations please let me know in the comments!

There's quite a few non-beauty favourites I've been loving this month, in particular Gilmore Girls which I'm so sad to say I've finished now! I can't believe how quickly I got through it considering there is 7 seasons at 22 episodes each and I watched it in about a month, every spare chance I got I'd binge watch it, I'm so thankful the revival starts in November! Also if Rory doesn't end up with Jess I'll be so annoyed, I don't think I've ever loved a character as much as I love Jess he's amazing. I've just started Sons Of Anarchy on Netflix now which I'm also obsessed with, I'm only just finishing the first season so I've got a long way to go but I really like it so far. I also finally read All The Bright places by Jennifer Niven this month after seeing all the hype about it, I really did love it I feel like it's such a page turner, however I was so sad at the ending! I felt really down after reading it however I can understand why it ended like that and the message it wanted to get across but still, I can't wait to see the film adaptation as well! Let me know in the comments what you've been loving this month!

May Favourites

Hi everyone! I say this every favourites but I can't believe we are at the end of May! I didn't actually get to post a favourites last month because I was so busy with uni but now that I'm done and am officially no longer a student I can finally post everything that I want! I'm actually enjoying a week off work at the minute which is so needed, my Mum is on holiday so I've gone to stay at hers to look after the house and the pets which I'm loving because it's such a chilled out place to stay plus the cat and the rabbit are so cute so I'm just having the best time! My favourites definitely are changing as we get closer to summer, but this is my favourite time of the year when I get to use my favourite type of products, I'm just so ready for the rest of summer now I'm actually so excited.

- Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water (£20). I've actually had this for quite a while now but I kind of pushed it aside for ages because I'd used it once and wasn't too impressed, however after deciding to give it a try again I'm so happy because I've been using this everyday recently! It is a lot of money for a primer and you could argue it doesn't really do anything, but I feel like it works so well. I've got dry skin and I was worried this wouldn't be hydrating enough, but I feel like it's the complete opposite, it's so hydrating without being too heavy like some moisturising primers so it stops you getting cake face, which happens to me quite a lot because I've had to stop my skin from being so dry with a heavier primer. It doesn't really affect the staying power of make up but it gives your makeup such a nice natural finish, and it's really hydrating and refreshing.

- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19). As you can see by the packaging of mine it has definitely been well loved but that is with good reason! I've had so many spots because it's been such a stressful month and the coverage of this is amazing, plus it isn't too drying. I don't use this for under eyes though just blemishes but it works so well at covering them, plus you really can't complain about the price.

- Benefit Dew The Hoola (£22.50). I don't actually have the new packaging of this product, I got mine from a Hoola kit from Benefit last year when they hadn't officially released it as an individual product, but it has officially released now and I'm so jealous I don't have the new one because the packaging is so nice! It's basically a liquid version of Hoola, it's so intimidating when you first swatch it as you will see in the picture below because it comes across so orange, but honestly when it is blended it is just the same shade as Hoola, maybe a touch darker but it's just a dewy glowy version. That's by far my favourite finish for this time of year so I've been reaching for this a lot more than the powder version, another expensive one but if you like Hoola and want a dewy finish you definitely need to get this!

- NYX Butter Gloss Creme Brulee (£5). I'm not a lip gloss person at all however these are amazing, I did a post on them not too long ago about how good they were, but out of the ones I have this is definitely my favourite shade. It's such a nice natural shade that I feel will look good on everyone and it isn't too sticky or too glossy, I feel like it's just right! It seems like so many Boots now are getting NYX counters, quite a few have opened near me which is the best thing ever because NYX is definitely my favourite drug store brand so the fact it's so accessible now is so good, they're products are amazing and really affordable so if you get the chance you should try some.

- Bourjois City Radiance Foundation (£9.99). I've been loving this so much for quite a while now, it's definitely my favourite Bourjois foundation, the finish is so nice, so glowy without being too dewy plus I love the packaging for travelling. I don't really have much else to say on this one, just if you're after a dewy foundation then this one is really good and it's a really good price.

- Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach Pop (£17). This is another one I'd had a for a while that had been a bit forgotten about, I wore it constantly last summer and I've been reaching for it again more now, definitely a perfect summer blush and the formula is amazing. I've wanted more shades of these for a while but they are quite expensive so I'm going to wait till I'm at an airport like I did last year and buy a few more I think, I really want Ginger Pop and Melon Pop.

- NYX Dark Circle Concealer in Fair (£6.50). I'm always a bit iffy with concealers in little pots like these because they can be quite drying especially for your under eyes but this one is so amazing! It's got a hint of orange to counteract dark circles and coconut oil to hydrate, I have had such bad dark circles recently and this is probably one of the best concealers I've used to counteract them. The coverage is really good and the orange hints get rid of the purple tones, I actually use this underneath foundation to directly counter the dark circles then apply foundation which is different to what I'd usually do but I've been really liking using it this way.

- NYX High Definition Finishing Powder in Banana (£8). Another NYX product, the new counters have definitely been raided by me but I just love their products so much! I'd heard quite a lot about this powder actually in the Banana shade for under eyes, and using this with the dark circle concealer has made such a difference for me! It's really brightening plus it helps to stop creasing and it doesn't feel heavy or cakey at all, it's such a good powder if you have dark circles and you get lots of product so it will last for ages.

Left to right: Dew The Hoola, NYX Dark Circle Concealer, NYX Banana powder, Clinique Peach Pop, NYX Butter Gloss Creme Brulee

I've got a couple of of non-beauty favourites this month, the first definitely being Ariana Grande's new album Dangerous Woman. I actually love her so much, I'd been waiting for her album to be released for so long and it was released on the 20th of this month but I've already listening to it so many times. My favourites on it are Greedy, Moonlight, Into You and Be Alright, Matty has actually just got his new car this month which is the most exciting thing ever because he's had his first car for 3 years and to be honest it was a little old banger even though it had so much sentimental value and we were really sad to see it go, his new car is so nice, so we've been driving everywhere in it listening to this album! I've also been loving Peaky Blinders, it's on BBC2 on a Thursday night at the minute and they are currently showing season 3 but the first two seasons are on Netflix, it's actually so good I look forward to it every week! Let me know in the comments what you've been loving this month!

March Favourites

Hi everyone! I say this every time I post a new monthly favourites but I seriously can't believe we are at the end of March already, this year is going so fast it's scary! When you're in the final year of university I feel like time goes by even faster and before I know it I won't be a student anymore and I will have to be a proper adult (honestly the scariest thought ever). Anyway I absolutely love writing these posts and seeing a little round up of all the products I've been loving the past month, and March has been no different. I can't wait for next month when I will be writing about my April favourites because that means we are so much closer to Summer!

- Maybelline Brow Drama in medium brown (£4.99). I'm really not high maintenance when it comes to my brows at all, I sort of wish I was and that I was bothered to put more effort in but I'm really not that fussed on them. I just like really natural products that will thicken and set my brows because I don't actually mind the natural shape of my brows. I ran out of Benefit's Gimme Brow and I honestly couldn't bare the expensive repurchase so I picked up this Maybelline product from Boots and I've really been liking it! It's definitely not as thickening as Gimme Brow but it's so affordable, the colour is perfect and it's so easy to use. If you just go for quick and easy eyebrows like me then this one is definitely worth buying.

- Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (£10.99). I'd actually been using Bourjois' new City Radiance foundation a lot however one day I thought I'd pick this one up again and it reminded me of how much I love it! It gives such a lovely natural finish, plus I really love the scent. It's definitely the type of foundation I will be reaching for a lot as the weather changes, and it's so affordable so when I run out I won't mind buying it again at all. Mine is in the shade 52 Vanilla if anyone wants to know.

- Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Penelope Pink (£23). I've said this so many times before but these CT lipsticks are by far my favourite formula of a lipstick I've ever used! They're so moisturising and pigmented, I never really go for matte so if you aren't fussed on matte either you will love these. Penelope Pink is such a gorgeous pinky nude, I actually had a mini size of if from a CT Christmas gift but I had to buy the full sized, I was a bit reluctant because it is expensive however it's just so gorgeous I couldn't resist!

- Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist (£18). This was a completely random purchase when I was in M&S, I've used Pixi before and I absolutely love the brand so I thought I'd try this too because I love moisture sprays and this one is so nice! It's probably the most refreshing one I've used and it's so light. It definitely doesn't completely hydrate the face as much as a cream product would however I love light moisturisers before makeup, anything too heavy in the morning puts me off so this is so good to apply before you prime your skin.

- Bubble T Summer Fruits Tea Body Spray (£2,99). I recently did a post on how much I've been loving this brand and this body spray has definitely been getting used a lot since I bought it! I never really go for body sprays however the scent of this is SO gorgeous, it's a blend of raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and white tea, I love fruity scents so this is so perfect for me. It's just really good for keeping in your handbag plus it's so cheap.

- Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum (full size £28.81). I actually received this in my Glossybox, it's honestly a travel size product however I've been so obsessed with it! I apply this after I've used a toner and before I put on my moisturiser, it's so refreshing and it smells so gorgeous! It's infused with honey and propolis to leave your skin with a glowing complexion and I really do see the difference when I use it. I'm definitely almost at the end of my little sample size and I'm quite sad because I think you can only get this if you get it sent over from America, so not going to lie a little annoyed at Glossybox for sending a product that I love but it not really being accessible for me to buy once I've used the travel size!

- The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask (£24). I've also recently done a post on this product and it is by far my favourite product of March! It give your skin the nicest supple texture and you really can see a noticeable difference in the morning after using it. It's not the cheapest product however it will last you ages and it really does work so I think it is good value for money. The smell is also gorgeous and it leaves your skin feeling so refreshed straight after you've applied it, I'd definitely recommend this if you have dry dull skin like me!

- Topshop cateye sunglasses (£16). I'd never normally add anything like this to my favourites however I just recently bought these and I am OBSESSED. You can find them here if you're interested, I have been after some cateye sunglasses for so long however I've got a really small face so the majority that I liked made me look so silly but these are a really good size, so if you have a small face like me you should definitely try them. I actually wanted to treat myself to a designer pair of sunglasses for Summer, however the pair I love I can only find online and I have to try them on before I buy them because of the small face situation but I really love these and I don't feel the need to splurge on really expensive ones now I've found a pair I love. I love the mirrored lenses too so I can look where I want without people noticing, I hope other people feel like that about mirrored glasses too haha? Can't wait for all the trips I've got planned this Summer to wear these, especially Madrid in July!

It's definitely a mixed bag of favourites this month but there is a few random ones I really want to share as well. I don't know if anyone has been watching The People VS OJ Simpson on BBC2 on a Monday night, but I am absolutely hooked on it! I always found the trial really interesting when I heard about it so when they made the show I was so excited. Also after BBC3 went online they created a drama called Thirteen about a girl who was abducted for thirteen years and has just escaped, it has just finished now however it's still online and there is only five episodes so it won't take up too much time to watch. It's so good I couldn't wait for a new episode everywhere, there was some moments when I felt to tense and paranoid watching it! Another really random favourite is definitely Papa John's pizza, me and Matty always have takeaway Saturday which is quite naughty to be honest but we just see it as a treat and after we had one of their pizzas we now just get that every Saturday instead and it's honestly SO nice, definitely my favourite place to get pizza from. That's basically all the stuff I've been loving in March, I feel like there has been so much this month! Let me know in the comments what you've been loving and if you've tried any of the products in this post!

February Favourites

Hi everyone! I actually cannot  believe we are at the end of February this has honestly been the fastest start to the year ever! I think because I'm so busy with university time just keeps going by so quickly, I feel like before I know it, it will be the end of May and I will be done (the thought of that makes me want to cry with happiness). It's not been the best month actually just because of university stress but I've been booking lots of fun things for this year to keep me going. Alongside everything else that's been going on I've been trying a few different products this month and there is definitely some that I have been absolutely loving! I really love writing favourites posts actually and I also love reading them, so I'll share mine and I'd love to read yours too so if you want to link your favourites down below I'll give them a read!

- Noir Tease by Victoria's Secret (50ml £38.24). I already own a Victoria's Secret perfume and I did like it, however when I was in London I smelt this and seriously fell in love, it's amazing! It's a warm fragrance with notes of black vanilla, frozen pear and blooming gardenia. I definitely think it's more of a fruity fragrance which I love, quite sweet but not sweet at the same time if you get me? You can tell describing scents isn't one of my skills, I think you just need to smell it to understand how nice it is! Plus it comes with one of those really cool spritzers that you squeeze to get the perfume out, I don't know the name but I always liked these for some reason. I've been wearing this so much this month so if you love fruity perfumes like me you should definitely give this a try.

- Nars Orgasm blush (£23). I'm really not adventurous when it comes to blush shades and I will always play it safe and go for the pretty pinks/nudes, and if you're like me then this blush is honestly perfect for you. I've been wearing it everyday for the whole month really, it's such a gorgeous rose gold shade, I think it's so flattering and would work for lots of skin tones. It's not cheap at all so if anyone has any good dupes for me I'd love to know them! There will be swatches pictured below by the way so you can see how pretty this is, I wish it was Spring now because I think this is the perfect Spring blush, so it just gives me an excuse to use it more soon!

- OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water shampoo (£6.99). I've honestly got the driest hair ever, it's most likely my use of straighteners everyday because my hair needs taming very bad in the morning and this is such a savior. I actually bought this when I went on holiday last year and used it really quickly and I recently purchased it again and smelling it instantly made me feel like I was in Cape Verde all over again, I love how you can trigger memories like that so quickly and it made me love it even more. It's really hydrating and it honestly smells amazing, it's got such a coconutty tropical scent, plus it's only £6.99 and it's really good quality so it's one I would definitely recommend.

- The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish (£5 75ml). Exfoliating is something I really need to do more of because my skin is so dry, especially in the Winter, I've been reaching for this strawberry body scrub from The Body Shop so much this month, it honestly smells amazing and it isn't harsh at all on the skin but it still feels like it's doing the job. I'm absolutely obsessed with all of the strawberry products from The Body Shop to be honest, I got a strawberry gift set for Christmas and it's feeding my obsession, it just smells so gorgeous! Again this is really affordable as well and if you don't like strawberries they have lots of different scents for you to try. I'm so desperate to try more Body Shop products, I really want the Bouncy Sleeping Mask!

- Vichy Dermablend Foundation* (£18). I've done a review post on this foundation if you'd like to read it here and ever since I wrote that post I've been reaching for this basically every day. It's the perfect shade for me while I'm pale and even though I normally stay away from full coverage because my skin is so dry, I find this has more of a satin finish than matte so with a moisturising primer works really well, plus the staying power is so good!

- The Body Shop Shea Body Butter (£14 200ml). Another Body Shop product but I have seriously been obsessed with them this month! I don't have the 200ml size of this I have the 50ml as I got a set of the body butters for free when I spent over a certain amount in store. I never normally go for these scents as I find them quite boring, I always go for the fruity ones however this smells absolutely amazing! I've nearly used all of it, it's so moisturising but not in a greasy way and I just love the smell, so if you get the chance I would definitely try this.

- Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk (£16). I'm really not a lip liner girl, I honestly rarely ever use them (I actually only own two) however I've been so obsessed with this CT one this month, I just think they're so creamy and the shade is so gorgeous, especially when paired with Bitch Perfect. It's such a nice shade for this time of year and the quality is lovely, it's pricey but since I only own two I thought I'd buy it as a treat!

- Makeup Geek Eye Shadows in Cinderella & Cupcake (£4.95 each). These two shades are honestly my new obsession! I did a haul of all the Makeup Geek eye shadows I bought which you can read here however these two shades totally stood out to me, they're my ideal shades, anything pink is an ideal eye shadow to me to be honest! The quality is so good and I love them paired together, they really make me not want to wear any other colours at the minute I'm so in love with them!

Left to right: Nars Orgasm, MUG Cupcake, MUG Cinderella, CT Pillow Talk

I also have a brand new header on my blog which I'm so happy with, it was designed by the lovely Jemma who you can find here, she was so great at designing exactly what I wanted so if you're thinking about getting a blog header designed I would definitely recommend her. I also have created a Twitter account just for my blog which I'd love for you to follow! You can find me at @LaurenAshBarden. I'm honestly so excited to have finally set one up just for my blog, it's been quite a fun blog related month actually. I was worried I would neglect my blog because I've been so busy with uni but I have found the time here and there which is great. Let me know in the comments what you've been loving this month!

January Favourites

Hi everyone! I haven't done a favourites post in so long because I was being very boring and using the same products ALL the time, however in January I've mixed it up a bit and have found some new products that I've absolutely loved!

- Lush American Cream hair conditioner (250g £9.25). I bought this at their Oxford street store when I was in London after seeing people always raving about their hair products and I'd never actually tried any of them. I picked this one because I absolutely love the smell, it's like a strawberry vanialla milkshake, I love it! The best thing though is I just find that my hair is so much nicer after using it and I find it far easier to tame and make it do what I want, plus I feel like the bottle will last ages so that's always a bonus!

- Nivea Vanilla & Macadamia Lip Butter (£1.99). I got this in a little set of lip tins for Christmas along with a coconut one and I was unsure before I actually smelt it because I really hate nuts, it doesn't smell nutty at all though it has the most amazing vanilla smell, reminds me of baking or cookies! Plus it is so moisturising, my lips feel amazing after I use it. I just really like these because they are so good to put in your bag to use all day, but this is the scent I would recommend because it's so good!

- Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara (£7.99). I am so late to the party with this one! I was using Benefit's Roller Lash and I bought one tube of that and loved it, then bought another when it ran out and it was just never the same, I really didn't like it and I have no idea why it wasn't as good, so I knew that everyone absolutely loved the Maybelline mascara and it's so much cheaper as well so in my head it was a bonus if I liked it because repurchasing wouldn't be as painful! I am so happy it didn't disappoint I absolutely love it! It makes my eyelashes look so much longer and it doesn't make them go clumpy at all, plus it's far less messy than a lot of mascaras I have used where I get it everywhere but I haven't had that problem at all with this.

- MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle (£24). I've had this for a while now but I stopped using it when I got the Mary Lou Manizer however I recently dropped and smashed it (it was so sad) so I went back to this to save my buying another and fell in love with it all over again! It gives such a nice subtle glow, I think it is not as in your face as some highlighters but I actually like that because the glow it gives is so natural, but still definitely noticeable! It's also perfect for fair skin tones, and I am so pale at the minute so it works perfectly.

- Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Bitch Perfect (£23). The formula of these lipsticks are so amazing, definitely my favourite formula of any lipstick I've used, but I really love this shade because it's such a good day or night lipstick. It's a slightly warm toned pink and I just think it is the prettiest nude shade and I've been loving it for nights out recently, even though it's so creamy it also has really good staying power.

- Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla (£22). Another product that I'd had for a while and stopped using, however this month I got the worst spot ever on my chin (if I ever get spots that's where they go it's so annoying) and I should of left it alone however I didn't, as none of us do and it went bright red and even bigger so I was having a nightmare! I actually had work on the night and I was so upset in that I had this monster on my chin for everyone to see, however this concealer covered it up so well that it was barely noticeable I couldn't actually believe it. I saw my boyfriend on the night when he picked me up from work and he was all "you can't even see it" then I took my make up off and he just said "oh my god", that's when you know you've got a good concealer! If you want a heavy duty concealer with amazing coverage I would definitely recommend this!

- The Body Shop Strawberry Hand Cream (£4). I've been so obsessed with this all month, it's so affordable and the perfect hand bag size plus it is honestly the nicest smelling hand cream I've ever smelt! It isn't greasy either but it leaves your hands so moisturised, I will probably continue loving this until I've used it all because it smells so good!

I also have been loving one non-beauty favourite in particular, and when I saw loving I mean full on obsessed, basically I'm a die hard Big Brother fan! I've watched it for years now and I get so into it every year, however the Celebrity version is on currently and it has been so amazing and so engrossing! If any of you have seen it or have heard about the Stephanie and Jeremy drama that is definitely the main thing that's had me hooked, it's just made the best TV! I could actually go on about it for so long, but I won't because I know a lot of people really don't like it, it's definitely a love or hate thing. Definitely excited to see the back of January now, let me know in the comments what products you've been loving this month!

September Favourites

Hi everyone! I can't believe we are basically at the end of September already, how fast is time going! However I do love October, aside from going back to university it would be one of my favourite months, when I'm out of education after this year and I don't have the dreaded return of term looming over me at this time of year I will be loving it! I don't have a lot of beauty favourites this month as make up wise I have been using mostly the same products however there are a few things I've been particularly loving which I thought I would share along with some other favourites which aren't beauty related but things that I have been obsessed with this month!

- Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. When I have been wearing make up this month I have really needed it to stay on as I have been doing longer shifts at work and going for days out so this has been getting used a lot to help and it really does work! I'm actually thinking about putting some of their other setting sprays on my Christmas list this year as I have only ever used All Nighter so if you have any let me know in the comments it would be much appreciated!

- Alien by Thierry Mugler. This is my all time favourite perfume but for some reason I have been using it everyday this month, I think you can own a lot of perfumes but there will always be one you love more than the rest and it kind of becomes your scent, this one is definitely mine. I have other perfumes but nothing compares to this one, if you have never smelt it you need to try it because it's amazing!

- Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. I have really been liking this for my under eye area, it was just a nice refreshing change from using the same product all the time and I think it really does brighten up my dark circles. Also I haven't had any issue with this creasing so that's a huge bonus.

- MAC Velvet Teddy. I know this is so talked about but I really wanted to feature it as I have been reaching for it a lot especially at this time of year. I know that berry lips are the big trend in Autumn but I just find them a bit too bold for me, I prefer a much more muted lip and to me this is a perfect Autumn colour when you don't want to have a bold lip.

- Spectrum Fan Brush. This is my go to brush for highlighting which is now something I have to do everyday, I feel a bit naked if I don't highlight! To me it just makes the world of difference and this brush gives the nicest application for a powder highlighter.

As I mentioned before I have a few favourites which aren't beauty related that I would love to share, if you are a TV nut like me then you might find this interesting!

- Narcos. So I was scrolling Netflix with my boyfriend recently and we love watching series together but there hasn't been one that has stood out for us in so long. We saw Narcos though and it had really good reviews and I saw a review that said if you want to fill the Breaking Bad void in your life then this would help and it really does! I absolutely loved Breaking Bad and was worried that this wouldn't compare or would try and be too similar but it isn't at all, it is so good in it's own way. I'm about to get onto to episode 9 of 10 and I can't wait to see what happens in the end!

- Scream Queens. The first two episodes of this show only just aired this week but I watched them and fell in love! It is created by Ryan Murphy who makes American Horror Story and if you love horror comedy then this will be perfect for you! It's so funny and it has the best cast, it is based on a sorority which is being targeted by a killer in a red devil suit, I would say it is more funny than scary but I think that is the point, I can't wait for the rest of the series it is so good.

I actually would never typically include music in my favourites however there is a song that I am so obsessed with at the minute and I want other people to love it too!

- Do it Again - Pia Mia ft Chris Brown & Tyga. I really have been loving this song, perfect for driving a long singing so loud, have a listen and I'm sure you'll love it.

August Favourites

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's nearly the end of August and I'm doing my August favourites already! Time is going too fast it's so scary. Anyway there are a few products I've been loving this month and I thought I'd share them with you.

From left to right:

- Stila One Step Correct Primer. I stopped using this a few months back and only just recently got into it again after I got a new foundation and it worked well with it. I've got a bit of red pigmentation on my cheeks and I find this works well to dull it down a bit and help foundation cover it better. It is also nice and hydrating for dry skin.

- Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. I'll be honest I've had this a few months now and when I first bought it I wasn't overwhelmed by it, I thought it was just a fancy water and was a bit disappointed. However I think this was because I need a heavier more hydrating primer, so recently when I've been finishing work and heading out somewhere quickly with not much time to reapply makeup I spray this on and it completely refreshes my makeup and makes it look almost new again. Really good for solving cake face after a long day at work!

- Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in r.s.v.p. I've been loving this this month for when I'm going out but nowhere exciting and I can't be bothered to do a full eyeshadow look. This is perfect to just put on your lid and blend out to give your face a bit more something but a nice lazy alternative to anything too full on! Also love this colour, it's such a pretty neutral that would look great on lots of skin tones.

- MAC Amplified Creme lipstick in Blankety. Absolutely love this and I've been reaching for it a lot more recently! Definitely my favourite nude I own, when I came back from holiday and was a bit more tanned my other nudes were a bit too pink for me but this has been amazing when I'm tanned and pale! Probably my favourite MAC lipstick I own and the creamy formula is so nice.

- Mary Lou Manizer by theBalm. I recently blogged about this and if you read that then you will know that I am obsessed with this. My new holy grail highlighter and I can't imagine this changing unless I find something really amazing.

- St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub. This is a must for anyone who is looking for an exfoliator, the dry skin around and on my nose has been so bad this month for some reason and after using this it clears it up so well. I don't find it harsh on my skin either, I have this in the travel size as I bought it for holiday but it's lasting absolutely ages so I would definitely recommend!

- Make Up Forever HD Foundation in soft sand n120. Again I posted on this recently, I haven't had it very long but I've been reaching for it everyday. I won't say too much about this as I've gone into detail on my previous post but it really is worth the hype that it gets!

July Favourites

Hi everyone! I've actually never done a favourites post before so I thought I'd do a post about all the things I've been loving this month.

1. OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Oil. I was absolutely obsessed with this on holiday when my hair was insanely dry from the sun, I got the shampoo and conditioner as well but this one is my favourite from the set, and it smells amazing!! You can spray it onto damp hair before you blow dry it or just all over dry hair. It's so light, really doesn't feel oily at all and it's so easy to use which is why I love it!

2. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. I've had this for a while but as it's summer (even though in the North East it has basically rained the whole of July) I want something light and dewy that still gives nice coverage and this is perfect for it! Also if the sun EVENTUALLY decides to appear where I live then it also has SPF15 which is a bonus for daily wear in the summer.

3. Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I wasn't too sure whether I'd love this at first as I was so used to intense eyelashes that my favourite mascara, Too Faced Better Than Sex, gave me and this is basically the opposite. However, again for the summer I think that the fluttery eyelashes this mascara gives you are ideal and I find it really easy to use because of the very slim wand. Only thing is I would still use an eyelash curler with it even though the product claims you no longer have to but I do have the straightest eyelashes ever so this might just be me!

4. Glow by Topshop highlighter in Gleam. I've only just got this and I am obsessed!! It's the nicest mousse formula ever and it gives such a pretty bronzed highlight. I love how it's loose so you can easily apply it with your finger although a little really does go a long way so you have to be careful. Also at £9 it's such a bargain and it's so easy to find.

5. Clinique Cheek Pop blusher in Peach Pop. This for me is the nicest peachy/coral blush for the summer and the formula is amazing! It's great because I feel like when you apply it there is not a lot of excess product so you can't accidentally go overboard and look like a clown. It's so creamy and I really want to get the other colours.

6. Benefit Hoola bronzer. This is the travel sized Hoola that I got when I bought their Do The Hoola bronzing kit which I did a blog post about and I'm totally converted and desperate for the full sized one! I had never actually used bronzer regularly before as I found that all the ones I tried made me look orange but you get such a natural look from this that I can use it for daily wear to add some colour.

7. Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream. I think I have definitely found my go to moisturiser here, my skin is so dry especially my nose and after I've exfoliated I put this on and it instantly sinks into the skin, you aren't left feeling greasy at all it just leaves your skin feeling so much softer. You hardly have to use any product which is also great as it means it will last ages and it also smells amazing.

8. Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lip Cream in Fairy Cake. I wanted some cheaper lip products to try out this summer and for £2.99 you really can't go wrong although I wasn't expecting to be blown away by something so affordable but I actually really like this. I have the shade Cotton Candy as well but Fairy Cake is my favourite as the colour is a really nice bright coral pink without being too in your face. They can be drying but as long as you put a lip balm underneath I don't think it's as issue and they do last quite a long time as well, plus they smell so much like vanilla and sugar, I'm obsessed!

Thanks for reading and let me known in the comments what you have been loving this month!
