MAC X Mariah Carey

Hi everyone! I'm a bit late to the party posting on this collection however I got these for Christmas and I really wanted to share them with you! When I'd seen the Mariah Carey collection with MAC online I actually fell in love with the packaging. To be honest I do think some MAC collections are a total gimmick, it's all about the packaging half the time as you can usually get most of the products in really similar shades from the standard range anyway, however I couldn't turn these down at all they were so gorgeous. I'm also a bit surprised I was able to get them as some of MAC's limited edition collections sell out so quickly, however I managed to get my pick of exactly what I wanted and I was given them for Christmas. Speaking of Mariah Carey did anyone else see that really uncomfortable New Years Eve performance? I've only watched it once but I couldn't actually rewatch it again because it made me cringe that much!

I actually cannot deal with the packaging, the lipstick comes in a gorgeous silver sparkly bullet and the lip glass has the same lid, and both have her signature on them. I didn't want too much from the collection and these were the only shades I was bothered about so I just have the two products, but I wasn't really interested in getting anymore. The lipstick shade I have is Dahhlinggg! and it's a cremesheen finish which is actually my favourite MAC lipstick formula, I'm really not for matte products at all. It's a light-medium pinky peach with warmer undertones and a natural finish. The lip glass is in the shade Dreamlover which is a translucent pink with pink and silver pearl. I choose these two as I loved both of them individually but they were basically the perfect match for each other if I wanted to share them together.

I absolutely love the butterfly engraved on the lipstick, another reason why these products are so pretty! The lip glass wand is just your standard doe foot applicator as well, really easy to apply and not too messy.

I really do like both the shades, the lipstick is actually a bit lighter than what I would usually go for, however my natural lip pigment is a bit darker anyway so I think I'm just not to seeing my lips look so light, the formula is a lot creamier than any other cremesheen lipstick I've used from MAC. It's good because it's nice and hydrating however it doesn't have much staying power. I also found that it was quite sheer and needed building up a lot. It still looked really pretty on though and I do think I'll get a lot of use out of this. I absolutely love the lip glass though and I rarely use lip glosses. It's very sheer so I like to pair it with the lipstick so you have more colour too but it just looks so pretty and shimmery on but not too over the top. Plus it doesn't have a really sticky formula either so it's not uncomfortable to wear.

These are definitely the prettiest lip products I own, I have some of the MAC Cinderella collection from a while back and I remember going mad for them just because of how pretty the whole collection was but I definitely prefer the Mariah Carey products! I think I'll use these a lot in spring and summer, however the downside of such nice LE products is that you feel like you don't want to use them because once they're gone that's it. I'm really close to 500 followers on Bloglovin so I'd appreciate it so much if you followed me because I really want to hit that milestone! Let me know in the comments if you've tried anything from this collection and what you think!

MAC Lipstick Collection

MAC lipsticks should definitely be labelled as addictive, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has bought one, fell in love with them and needed more and more! I absolutely love reading these posts because they give me so many ideas of what MAC lipsticks I need next, I definitely don't have the biggest collection but I thought I'd share the MAC lipsticks I do have to hopefully inspire you to find some more colours you like. Plus I've kind of been neglecting them recently and reaching for other products, however doing this post definitely rekindled my love and I can't wait to start using them again! It's kind of shameful how new some of these are though, my boyfriend says that I have a fear of using things up and he's so right! I absolutely hate coming to the end of products because I find repurchasing no where near as fun as buying something new, so to avoid coming to the end of some of my best loved products I will stop using them, it's honestly such a bad habit I hope I'm not alone here?!

The shades I have are:

- Angel (Frost).
- Creme Cup (Cremesheen).
- Royal Ball (Lustre).
- Call The Hairdresser (Lustre)
- Blankety (Amplified).
- Velvet Teddy (Matte).
- Craving (Amplified).
- Sunny Seoul (Cremesheen).
- Koi Coral (Cremesheen).
- Flamingo (Lustre).
- Impassioned (Amplified).

Left to right: Angel, Creme Cup, Royal Ball

Left to right: Call The Hairdresser, Blankety, Velvet Teddy, Craving

Left to right: Sunny Seoul, Koi Coral, Flamingo, Impassioned

This post has definitely kick started my love again for MAC lipsticks, I definitely do have my favourites though! Blankety is definitely my favourite out of all of the ones I own by far, if I had to recommend just one it would definitely be this one. However I do have a soft spot for Creme Cup, it's just such a gorgeous pink and I think it would suit so many skin tones. It's so funny thinking back to the first MAC lipstick you bought, mine was Sunny Seoul and it reminds me so much of being on holiday in Mexico because I wore it absolutely loads there, definitely a perfect summer shade. Some of these are limited edition, Royal Ball was part of the Cinderella collection which was so difficult to get my hands on which is why it looks so new because I'm scared to use it since when it's gone it's gone. It's so obvious that I love my pinks from this post, I need to be more adventurous! I haven't bought a MAC lipstick in a while though so I'd love if you could comment below your favourites for me to have a look at because I'd love to get a few more!

Go To Autumn Make Up Products

Hi everyone! Since the seasons are changing and everyone (including me) is jumping on the Autumn bandwagon I thought I'd post some of the go to make up products I like to use in Autumn. I'm done with corals and peaches for now and I'm moving on to the lovely warm browns and berry colours.

I'll start with the eyes first, I've used two palettes because they have the most gorgeous Autumn shades in them.

- Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. This is the first image and to me it actually screams Autumn, I pictured those colours as they are the most fall appropriate from the palette in my opinion, I don't have flash on but one of the shades which is the 2nd in on the middle row is my all time favourite gold eyeshadow and the picture really doesn't do it justice but it is amazing! It's called Marzipan if you are wondering, I don't know why but those shadows all pictured next to each other remind me of a scarf you would wear in Autumn, weird I know. It is definitely my go to palette for this season, I just love it!

- Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture palette. I pictured these shadows from this palette, particularly Fudge and Morocco as they are gorgeous warm shades that look so nice at this time of year. Also the quality is amazing, they are so pigmented and are so easy to apply.

Berry lips are definitely the trend in Autumn and I've got two that I really like

- MAC Craving. This is an Amplified finish and it is amazing! It's described as a 'burst of plum' and I think it is great for people like me who aren't daring enough for a really dark lip, it is a dark shade but not too full on and very wearable.

- Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Berry. This one is definitely for when you are feeling more adventurous, it is a lot more full on that the MAC lipstick but so pigmented and the nicest deep berry colour. The applicator isn't my favourite and I would recommend using a lip brush to apply this since it is a bold colour but it is so long wearing and surprisingly not drying considering it is a matte finish.

- Benefit's Benetint. I love the colour of this especially for this season, it is a nice plum colour and I think it gives a nice flush to your cheeks but it is fairly sheer so it doesn't look too crazy once applied. I also love this for when I'm feeling lazy as it is so quick and easy to apply.

- Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in 07 Plum. Another plum colour I know but I think they are so gorgeous at this time of year, I love this cream blush because it is so affordable and a very subtle plum shade. Also you get so much product and a little really does go a long way so very good value for money.

- Benefit Watt's Up. I know I've only been raving about the Mary Lou Manizer recently but for some reason Watt's Up definitely fits Autumn better for me. Gold highlighters are my favourite and this gives a really lovely golden glow but it works for Autumn as well as Summer. Application is a bit more awkward because I think applying it from the stick gives you a bit of a stripe so I prefer dabbing it on my finger first.

It's so funny how as soon as they seasons change so does your taste in make up products, but it keeps things fresh and stops it getting boring I suppose. Let me know in the comments your favourite Autumn make up products!

Shopping My Stash

Hi everyone! I've never actually done a shopping my stash post so I figured why not start today. Just to put this out there now, I am a hoarder and I can fully admit to that, I buy things that I don't use and then just leave them stashed away somewhere which is why I think this is a great idea for me! It was so strange to have a look through things I haven't looked at in a while and it does make me realise how I need to stop hoarding and actually use the things I buy. I could have picked out a lot more but this would have gone on forever! It's funny how by doing this you discover some old favourites as well, we get so easily sucked into using the same products everyday so it makes a nice change to go back to the products you used to love!

- Urban Decay Naked2. I bet people think I'm crazy for having such a popular palette and it basically being untouched, you can see from the pictures how I've only used it once and for some reason it makes me feel so guilty! It is so pretty, I actually got it last Christmas and I loved it, then one day you decide actually I want to use something else and it has been forgotten about. My love for my Naked3 palette and my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette definitely played a part in pushing this aside however after digging it out today I really want to start using it again. It is more on the cool toned side for my liking but there is some shades I love like Half Baked and Chopper, going to do my best to start using this more!

- Benefit That Gal primer. This used to be one of my absolute favourite primers and I think it was one of the first Benefit products that I ever bought, I would use it everyday without fail and I still have some left so definitely showing some good value for money! I had honestly forgotten about it until today because again another primer took over which I now use everyday, 100% going to use this again until it's empty so I get that satisfied feeling of fully using up a product!

- Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in Something About Berry. This was another product I got last Christmas which I was so excited about, I used it a couple of times and tossed it aside, no clue why though because it is so pretty! A little really does go along way though, use too much and it looks far too bright pink, but when you put the right amount on it gives a really nice flushed look to your cheeks. Biggest downside about this product though is that it's so bulky, I have a feeling this might be why I put it somewhere else and forgot about it because it was taking up so much room. Still love it though and it being so bulky doesn't take away from how pretty the packaging is.

- MAC Mineralize Concealer in NC20. I bought this totally out the blue one day and I remember not loving it when I first used it, however I think a lot of people do that, use something once and aren't blown away but use it some more and they end up loving it. Going to experiment with it some more and see how that goes so it isn't a total waste!

- Benefit Fine One One. Again this used to be an absolute favourite of mine, I would use it all the time because I went through a stage where I thought cream blushers were the best thing since sliced bread and I have actually had so much use out of this but you can see in the pictures above how there is absolutely loads left. It gives you the nicest colour and stays on so well, only issue I have is blending due to the application, it just makes it a little trickier but I still love it.

- MAC Pressed Pigment in Blonde Streak. I bought this when I was really new to getting into makeup and I didn't really know what to do with it, now though after finding out what works for me and what doesn't I would absolutely love this when I'm feeling adventurous and wanting a gold shimmery eye look. The colour is gorgeous, I know now that Autumn is coming around it might not get used so much but I think for the party period around Christmas it would be perfect, this one is basically untouched as well so I am determined to get some use out of it!

This was a strangely eye opening experience to highlight how I need to use more of my products, I need to stray from using the same products day in day out and revisit some of my old favourites and also things I've barely touched. Let me know in the comments if you have any of these products and what you think!

August Favourites

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's nearly the end of August and I'm doing my August favourites already! Time is going too fast it's so scary. Anyway there are a few products I've been loving this month and I thought I'd share them with you.

From left to right:

- Stila One Step Correct Primer. I stopped using this a few months back and only just recently got into it again after I got a new foundation and it worked well with it. I've got a bit of red pigmentation on my cheeks and I find this works well to dull it down a bit and help foundation cover it better. It is also nice and hydrating for dry skin.

- Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. I'll be honest I've had this a few months now and when I first bought it I wasn't overwhelmed by it, I thought it was just a fancy water and was a bit disappointed. However I think this was because I need a heavier more hydrating primer, so recently when I've been finishing work and heading out somewhere quickly with not much time to reapply makeup I spray this on and it completely refreshes my makeup and makes it look almost new again. Really good for solving cake face after a long day at work!

- Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in r.s.v.p. I've been loving this this month for when I'm going out but nowhere exciting and I can't be bothered to do a full eyeshadow look. This is perfect to just put on your lid and blend out to give your face a bit more something but a nice lazy alternative to anything too full on! Also love this colour, it's such a pretty neutral that would look great on lots of skin tones.

- MAC Amplified Creme lipstick in Blankety. Absolutely love this and I've been reaching for it a lot more recently! Definitely my favourite nude I own, when I came back from holiday and was a bit more tanned my other nudes were a bit too pink for me but this has been amazing when I'm tanned and pale! Probably my favourite MAC lipstick I own and the creamy formula is so nice.

- Mary Lou Manizer by theBalm. I recently blogged about this and if you read that then you will know that I am obsessed with this. My new holy grail highlighter and I can't imagine this changing unless I find something really amazing.

- St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub. This is a must for anyone who is looking for an exfoliator, the dry skin around and on my nose has been so bad this month for some reason and after using this it clears it up so well. I don't find it harsh on my skin either, I have this in the travel size as I bought it for holiday but it's lasting absolutely ages so I would definitely recommend!

- Make Up Forever HD Foundation in soft sand n120. Again I posted on this recently, I haven't had it very long but I've been reaching for it everyday. I won't say too much about this as I've gone into detail on my previous post but it really is worth the hype that it gets!

Let me know in the comments what you've been loving this month!

MAC Cremesheen Pearl

Hi everyone! I'm a sucker for MAC collections and there has been absolutely loads coming out recently to feed my addiction. I was on a little ban though, and one day I checked the website and they had released their Cremesheen Pearl collection. There is 10 lipstick shades and 5 lip glass shades, and it is described on the website as a shimmer twist on the classic cremesheen finish. They are infused with pearlized pigments and a moisturising serum blend, and they are all Asian inspired shades. When I saw them on the website I resisted because I was like do I really need any more lipstick? I went shopping about a week after though and they had the collection at the MAC counter and they were literally so pretty I couldn't resist! I did only get one though so that was some will power.

I got mine in the shade Koi Coral, I was really torn between this and Nippon as they were so similar but I thought Koi Coral was so pretty and a bit more me.

It is a really subtle coral colour, not in your face at all. When you wear it you can definitely see the pearl pigments in it but it is just the right amount. I couldn't think of a nicer girly colour and if you love your pinks and corals then this shade will be perfect for you!

You can see the pearl pigments in the swatch above, obviously as it's cremesheen it isn't as pigmented as a matte lipstick but I love the cremesheen formula, it's so moisturising and feels nice and creamy on your lips.

The whole Cremesheen Pearl range has some gorgeous shades I would have loved to have got more but I was trying to be good! A lot of the shades are still in stock on the website as I'm writing this so I would definitely recommend grabbing some while they are there! Let me know in the comments if you have any shades from this collection!

Holiday Haul inc Triangl, Bare Minerals + Drug Store etc

Hi everyone! I'm going on holiday in 10 days as I write this (!!!) and I think one of the best things about going on holiday is being able to buy all those little things that you wouldn't normally let yourself buy, I've been using the "it's for holiday" excuse for about a month and a half now! So I went to the Metro Centre on Wednesday, for those of you who don't know it's a huge shopping centre near Newcastle and it takes my money off me everytime I go because I have 0 will power. Anyway I bought a whole load of stuff for my holiday that I'd like to share with you! Just keep scrolling for more pictures and info on the products pictured below and I'll put my new bikini at the bottom that I also just got delivered.

I have actually bought a whole load more than this clothes wise however I will be doing a 'what's in my suitcase' blog post before I leave where you will get to see all the new outfits I bought and am obsessed with!

I'll start with the Body Shop products, I'd heard so much about their vitamin E range from so many people so I thought I'd give it a try, especially the products in this range designed for dry skin.

1. Vitamin E Face Mist. It claims to give an instantly refreshing moisture boost and has rosewater in it to refresh. I love anything like this because it's quick and easy and ideal when you're out and about.

2. Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream. This is said to be for those with very dry skin, and it claims to continuously nourish, protect and lock in moisture. I've actually tried this one once already and so far so good! My nose is the biggest problem area for my dry skin and I put some on yesterday and it still feels quite soft now.

3. Vitamin E Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes. Claims it is a one-step cleansing and toning to remove make up, impurities and dead skin cells. This is for all skin types however I just wanted a fresh pack of wipes to take with me on holiday and this range in the Body Shop was actually on 3 for 2 so I picked this out as the free product.

1. Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. I actually first saw this from one of Zoella's haul videos and I did some research on it and it sounded ideal for when you are on holiday, you've got a tan and you're skin looks nicer and it's also too hot to wear a higher coverage foundation. It is described as a tinted hydrating gel cream so more of a foundation than a tinted moisturiser but still very sheer. It's also apparently meant to be good for your skin as it is hydrating and has ingredients in it that energize skin. The woman who worked at the counter matched me in a darker shade than I am as I do tan a lot while I'm away, I will be posting a first impressions of this when I'm back so look out for that!

So I went a bit crazy with the lip products in Superdrug! Basically I am obsessed with liquid lipsticks and while I'm away with a tan I want to try more bold colours that I wouldn't normally wear now (constantly stick to pinks and nudes) and I'd been eyeing the Stila liquid lipsticks however they are priced at £15 each and I figured if I do get bright colours and don't like them then it is a waste of money. So I bought a few from Superdrug (aside from the MAC lipstick obviously) to see if I like them and they are all £3 each so if I don't like them then it doesn't matter.

From left to right

1. Makeup Revolution London Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer in Keep Trying for You
2. Collection Cream Puff in Fairy Cake
3. Collection Cream Puff in Cotton Candy
4. Makeup Academy Whipped Velvet in Chichi
5. Makeup Academy Whipped Velvet in Ritzy

I also bought a lipstick from MAC as they had their MAC Is Beauty collection in the counter in the metro and I'd been eyeing this up for a while.

1. MAC Call The Hairdresser in Lustre finish

1. Gilette Venus & Olay razor. It's a bit weird to post your razor in a haul but I wanted to include it because Gilette's Venus range has been combined with Olay, this one has Olay moisture bars and a sugarberry scent, I also wanted to include it as they are half price in Superdrug and if anyone is like me and likes a fresh razor for holidays but they are obviously expensive then go to Superdrug and you will find loads of their products such as this on offer.

2. Topshop Sunglasses. I love these because I finally found sunglasses in this style that fit my face! They come with a free case, the ones in the shop I was at had holographic cases like the one I got in different colours and I got the pink one.

This is the one I'm most excited about by far! If any of you have read my previous post on Triangl bikinis then you know I'm obsessed with them, and about a week ago I was telling my boyfriend's mum about them as his sister wants one and I was like why don't I have a look on the website. Big mistake as they have their summer 2015 range out and they are amazing! They have a lot of new crochet style ones like the one I bought above. So being the sucker I am I had to order it as it was just too pretty! I couldn't get a very good picture of it so I put mine in anyway and I will put in the one of this bikini from the Triangl website:

I am in love with it, and it got delivered so quick! I ordered it either Saturday or Sunday and it came yesterday which was the Thursday. I love the crochet style and would recommend it to anyone they are perfect for the summer.

This has turned out to be the longest post ever, thank you if you sifted through the whole thing! Like I mentioned I will be posting a 'what's in my suitcase' post very soon so look out for that!xxx

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Dupe // Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer

Hi everyone! I've been wanting to do this post for a while and I eventually got round to it, basically I've had the MAC Natural Radiance primer in the shade Radiant Pink for ages now and at first I wasn't loving it, considering it is expensive at  £29.50 so I was pretty disappointed. However as you do you go back to it a few weeks later and start to like it which I did! It is described on the website as a 'silky gel emulsion' that claims to give a 'beautiful glow'. I'm obsessed with a radiant glowy look and I think with a good foundation it does work really well. It has a bit of a mild glittery sheen to it (very mild!!) so if you don't like even a tiny amount of glitter then you won't like this but I don't mind it and I really like the feel of this primer on the skin and it does give you a nice glow. It's also great because you get 50ml in the bottle which is a lot and a little does go a long way so it lasts absolutely ages so if you are willing to pay the price it is a good investment. However I was in Superdrug recently and I saw the Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum primer which claimed to have a very similar effect and for £10.99 you can't really go wrong although it is in a smaller bottle and it has only 15ml which is a much smaller amount.

As you can see from the picture I have been using my Bourjois primer all the time and I'm nearly out so I may have to repurchase. Anyway I actually love the Bourjois primer as it's affordable and gives a really similar effect to the MAC primer, a nice healthy radiant glow and this one has no glitter in at all so a lot of people may prefer this down to that alone.

In the swatches above the MAC primer is on the left and the Bourjois primer is on the right, you can see they are different in colour, whilst the Bourjois primer comes in one colour alone there is two shades for the MAC primer, radiant pink and radiant yellow, I have the shade radiant pink and I think this is the only shade that the Bourjois primer would work as a dupe for. The MAC product is lighter in colour whereas the Bourjois product is more peachy, however both are sheer so to me once blended into the skin there is no colour difference between the two.

Again in the picture above MAC is on the left and Bourjois is on the right, you can see that when you begin to blend it there is a noticeable difference in consistency. I find the MAC primer a bit thicker and it rubs out quicker to be more invisible as you go on whereas the Bourjois primer is more watery. Once fully blended again they create a very similar radiant glow, I do find the MAC one is a bit better and I prefer the consistency but both do a very similar job. the Bourjois primer is a great dupe and it is much more affordable. I also find I'm reluctant to use my more expensive products on what I think are 'wasted days' for your make up, so if I am going to work or university and I still want to wear makeup but don't want to waste my more expensive makeup then products like this are great!

I do think however it is really important to consider that although it is £29,50 for the MAC primer you do get 50ml whereas the Bourjois primer is £10.99 which is obviously a lot cheaper however you only get 15ml and you can see from the picture that I have nearly used all mine and haven't had it for too long whereas I've had the MAC primer for almost a year now and I've still got loads left! So it's definitely a factor that whilst the MAC primer seems more expensive off the bat it's definitely an investment as you will hardly ever have to repurchase. However if at the time you want something affordable then the Bourjois primer is great and I would definitely recommend. Hope you enjoyed reading this post, let me know in the comments any good dupes you've found I'm always looking for more!xxx

Current Top 5 Spring/Summer Lipsticks

Hi everyone! Since we have hit what is supposed to be spring in the UK (I don't know about you but where I live I'm definitely not getting that!) I thought I'd do a post on what my current favourite lip products are for the change in seasons. I find that pinks/nudes are so pretty in spring and summer especially for a nice day time look so I picked out the top 5 that I am currently loving and swatched them for you!

I'll include a swatch picture below which matches the above lipsticks from left to right which will be named further down.

From left to right:

1. MAC Flamingo (£15.50) which is a lustre finish. It's a really nice subtle coral pink it actually shows up a lot brighter than in the swatch picture. It's quite a sheer finish but it can be easily built up, I think it's a really good colour for someone wanting to try something a bit brighter but doesn't want to go too crazy.

2. MAC Creme Cup (£15.50), this is a cremesheen lipstick and it's one of my favourites I think it's such a nice daytime look and it's really natural and not too full on. If you find it too pale for you it works really well with a lip liner that's a little bit darker. It goes on quite opaque but like flamingo you can build it up, and you're left with a really pretty nude pink colour with a dewy finish on the lips.

3. Too Faced Shimmering Marshmallow Bunny (£18 for the standard shades from the Debenhams website), I actually got this from Too Faced's Under The Mistletoe Christmas gift set along with two other colours. This is different from the standard La Creme lipstick, it is available in that collection just as Marshmallow Bunny, however with this one from the limited edition set they are the same shade this just has added shimmer (similar to a frost finish) so I would definitely recommend getting this even as the standard shade as it's such a pretty colour! It is a light-medium yellow toned pink and the pigmentation is so nice! Unlike some of my other lipsticks which rub off so easily I can wear this out, have food and drinks and it stays on really well which is surprising as its a creamy formula, I'd definitely suggest getting this shade from the La Creme lipsticks!

4. Nars Audacious lipstick in the shade Julie (£24). I love this so much I picked it really randomly off the website, the audacious lipsticks are more expensive at £24 but if you find a colour you really like then you should definitely invest because the finish is amazing! It is described as being long wearing but having a luxurious texture to smooth and nourish the lips. I'd definitely agree with this is as matte lipsticks dry out my lips so much and I tend to avoid them but this appears matte yet still making your lips look soft and slightly dewy. It is described as a nude pink however I would say it isn't that nude, it's got a hint of coral to it while still being a very pink shade with warm undertones.

5. Too Faced Melted Lipstick in the shade Nude (£19 from the Debenhams website). I have the mini sized one as I got it as one of their christmas gift sets along with four other shades. It shows up really dark in the swatch picture but it is lighter on the lips, It's a peachy beige shade, with a satin/matte finish. The pigmentation of these is amazing, at first I actually found them quite hard to get the hang of as I was applying way too much product, definitely important to note that a little goes a long way! It's so long wearing, definitely recommend this for a night out or any other time when you don't want to keep reapplying. It applies as a liquid and dries matte which for me is a nice change and I'm actually really into the liquid lipstick trend and plan on getting lots more! For me this shade is great for a different look to the standard pinks/nudes and again something to try for when you want something different that isn't too crazy.

Thanks for reading, let me know in the comments what your favourite spring/summer shades are!xxx

March Makeup Haul

Hi everyone! I thought I'd do a haul/first impressions post about some of the products I bought this month. Some of it was bought online and some from shops when I went to Leeds as I was able to get some products over there that are harder to buy where I live in Darlington but I'll post where I got each item further down.

First off I'll start with the new foundation I bought. I'd heard a lot about Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua but I was unsure on it as they have a lot of similar foundations such as Vitalumiere but I did a bit of research and thought that while I was in Leeds I would get colour matched and see what I thought about it. I got colour matched at the counter in Harvey Nichols and liked how it applied so I bought it for £33 I think it was in the shade 20 Beige. I didn't actually like it at first when I first applied it with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge as I felt it took so much to get any coverage but this was probably the sponge absorbing it all because when I used  my Zoeva buffing brush I fell in love its so glowy but not full on dewy and gives really nice light to medium coverage!

I also bought the SmashBox Primer Water while I was in Leeds as there are no counters close to me and I'm not actually too impressed too far, for someone with dry skin like me as a primer its far to light I need something much more hydrating than a bit of mist, it's okay for a setting spray it gives you a tiny bit more radiance but that's all I like it for right now, maybe it will grow on me!

The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette I got from the Debenhams website, it had only just been posted online so obviously it's only being released now in the UK but as soon as I saw it I had to get it and I love it so much! The colours are so nice, a really good mix for lots of different looks and the pigmentation is really good. It does actually smell like chocolate too like everyone says which is a bonus and I would definitely recommend it.

Now for the MAC products I bought the mineralize concealer in the shade NC20 so far I'm not loving this it just isn't really working for me but I haven't used it a lot so I might figure out how to make it look better on my skin. I also got the mineralize skin finish in the shade Soft & Gentle after hearing so much about it and it is so nice! I prefer it for a more full face look, it is a bit full on when you want a more natural look. The lipsticks are in the shade Blankety which is an amplifed creme and the other is Flamingo which is a lustre finish and I love them both!

Hope you enjoyed reading about the products I bought this month!xxx

MAC Cinderella

Hi everyone! Since everyone has been going crazy about it I thought I'd do a post on the MAC Cinderella collection and what I think of the items that I was able to get hold of (with great difficulty!)

So I'm sure a lot of people had the same problem as me, I'd signed up to the email to notify me when the collection went live on the MAC UK website but I missed it and saw it was live about 2 hours after it went up and basically everyone was sold out :( I actually thought since it sold out so quick they would restock at least once more on the site but MAC's twitter account said otherwise, only that it would be stocked in select UK stores on the 13th of March. I was actually at uni at 9 that day so wouldn't be able to go myself but thankfully I have a really lovely boyfriend who offered to go up to Newcastle for me on the train and wait around before 9 to get it before it sold out. I wanted the lipstick in the shade Royal Ball, the beauty powder in Coupe d'Chic and the lipglass in Glass Slipper. He said there was already a crowd when he got there and as soon as the shutters opened people were bent down trying to get under them (crazy!!), he said he was about 10th in the queue and that people before him were buying ridiculous amounts like 5 of each product so it all sold out so fast, he was able to get me the powder and the lipstick but the lipglass had unfortunately sold out.

On to the products I absolutely love them! The packaging is so pretty, really nice blue and gold with Cinderella written on them, I've attached a photo below for you:

In terms of the quality of the product they are lovely especially the lipstick however they are different than how you would imagine, the lipstick applies really light and the powder needs a lot of brush work as it isn't very pigmented although it gives the nicest glow. I actually use Benefit's Posie Tint under it to give it a bit more colour and a little of the powder really does go a long way, too much and you'll look like a disco ball. It would also work really well as a highlighter. You can see the actual products and swatches below.

You can see in the swatch picture just how light it is, bare in mind I have put very little on my hand, the lipstick is on the left and the powder is on the right.

Even though they are different to how I imagined I still absolutely love them, however I've been really disappointed in how MAC has handled the limited edition collection. As I said before when my boyfriend went to buy it people before him were buying insane amounts of stuff and I don't think its fair for everyone else who turned up early but were later in the queue and weren't able to get anything because it had all sold out. I think MAC should limit the amount of items per person e.g. two of the same products so they could get everything at least twice, anymore I think is just unfair to others. The main issue however that has really annoyed me is that on sites like Depop and Ebay people are selling the products for double the RRP price because it has sold out, it's not fair that some people were able to get their hands on it only to sell it to others for double the price who weren't lucky enough to get it. Why should anyone pay more than anyone else just because they were faster in getting it?!

Anyway thank you for reading this post, hope you enjoyed!xxx
